Dr. Basil Bruno

Dr. Basil Bruno

Dr. Basil Bruno has been practicing pediatrics in Bergen County for 20 years.  He received his B.A. from Columbia University and then went on to medical school at UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical School.  He also completed his pediatric residency at UMDNJ-University Hospital in Newark, New Jersey.  Since he was raised in Bergen County, Dr. Bruno wanted to remain close to his family and his wife’s family and has been practicing pediatrics there ever since he completed his training.

Dr. Bruno enjoys all aspects of pediatrics, but especially enjoys taking care of newborns and helping new mothers through this difficult time.  He has always taken an interest in babies with digestive problems and helping new families deal with these issues.  School-age problems have always seemed to find their way to Dr. Bruno, and helping adolescents with high school, college, and career choices is also an area of enjoyment.

Dr. Bruno spends his free time with his lovely wife, Linda, and three daughters.  He enjoys watching and participating in all sports, but his main passion is performing and listening to all types of music.  He has been a performing guitar/bass player since early childhood and has been a member of many bands since his teen years.  He currently still performs with his band “Dr. B. and the Interns,” and enjoys recording original music as well.

Dr. Lisa M. O'Donnell

Dr. Lisa M. O'Donnell

Dr. O’Donnell has been practicing Pediatrics in the New York/New Jersey area for the past 7 years.  She did her undergraduate work at Providence College and graduated magna cum laude with a BS in biology with a minor in theater.  She went on to graduate school at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons to obtain a Masters degree in Nutrition.  Dr. O’Donnell had the wonderful opportunity to study medicine at St. George’s University.  This is where she was elected and trained to be a peer counselor to her fellow classmates. She then went on to complete her pediatric residency at Schneider’s Children’s Hospital (Long Island Jewish Medical Center) in New York.
Dr. O’Donnell’s main areas of interest include newborns/toddlers and adolescents.  She had the opportunity to work closely with the adolescent medicine department at LIJ on research involving teens and reproductive health which has led to many published papers.  In addition, Dr. O’Donnell’s strength lies in the nutritional needs of children.  While earning a masters in nutrition, she had ample opportunity to do nutritional and dietary counseling with immunocompetent and immunocompromised children.  Her time as a peer counselor afforded her extra training in psychological services  which has proven effective in the office setting for various social issues (i.e, bullying, peer pressure, eating disorders).
While outside of the office, Dr. O’Donnell is busy at home with four beautiful boys.  She and her husband Jeff, a captain in FDNY, reside with their children in Rockland County, NY.  Dr. O’Donnell enjoys reading, yoga, volleyball and teaching her boys.
